In keeping with its commitment to contemporary and hybrid art forms, Lieu NEUFNEUF will launch a new flagship event dedicated to performance art.
Titled PERFPERF, this event aims to highlight an artistic practice that historically emerged from the visual arts and is now widely embraced by the performing arts (dance, theater, music, and street arts). Inherently multidisciplinary, performance art occupies a unique place within the performing arts, yet it remains relatively obscure in traditional distribution networks.
Spanning one week, PERFPERF will present—at Lieu NEUFNEUF and in partnership with key players in the Toulouse metropolitan area—a program featuring regional, national, and international artists. The program will bring together a variety of formats, presented both in theaters and in public spaces, to encourage the discovery and understanding of this artistic field. The first edition of PERFPERF is part of the organization’s future development plans.
