Propos

In LAST TOUCH, Laura Frigato masterfully embodies a vast array of utterly stunning figures—whether masculine, feminine, animal, abstract, poetic, political, critical, visceral… superficial… ambiguous.
LAST TOUCH is also, in a way, the inventory we take to close a chapter. Everything one must go through to move on to something else.
Bordering on a certain madness, this solo performance choreographed by Pierre Pontvianne shows us just how far we are from having exhausted all the strangeness of our unique bodies.

In residence: Sept. 14–18, 2026

Propos

The body is the face of dance: it is through the entire body that all expressions and movements flow—from the most lyrical to the most clownish, from the most classical to the most grotesque.
The paradox of the solo LAST TOUCH is that the performer multiplies. In this survival strategy, the body becomes both a passageway and a passenger in order to save itself. It merges with otherness, with images other than itself. Through mimicry and the repetition of postures, it embraces different beings—rapid, contrasting figures.
LAST TOUCH is not only the final touch added to a painting, but also the idea of a departure, as one leaves behind a universe, a landscape of relationships, and a gallery of characters.
The long-standing collaboration between the two artists—choreographer Pierre Pontvianne and performer Laura Frigato—serves this concept in a surprising, extremely vivid, and embodied way.
