Propos
A man finds himself lost in a cave where monsters and humans coexist. Together with them, he engages in carnivalesque rituals that explore their bodies, their identities, and their place in the world, in search of a new spring. But while this place is a refuge, it is also a labyrinth of the psyche from which escape seems impossible. Trapped between two worlds, our heroes and heroines attempt to escape this margins and return to life. Through destitution, through laughter, through the graceful yet failed attempt to represent the world’s beauty, this small group prepares for an escape. Jean Balcon crafts a baroque and poetic fable, a reverie about those who live on the margins.
