DITTO TO THE SAND

« Ditto to the Sand explores the tension between artistic creation and parenthood, questioning the possibility of making these spaces coexist, spaces so often perceived as incompatible.
On stage, a trio made up of a choreographer and her two children shares a single space of presence, where different temporalities, rhythms and modes of attention intersect. Movement emerges here from relational dynamics: bonds of attachment, frictions, play and everyday negotiations become choreographic material. By inviting her children into the heart of the creative process, the piece shifts the boundaries between the intimate sphere and the working space. It brings into view what is usually rendered invisible, and transforms a personal tension into an artistic gesture.
Ditto to the Sand is built as a place of convergence, at once a refuge and a ground for exploration, where new forms of cohabitation are invented. The piece thus asserts a political and feminist dimension, claiming the possibility of articulating motherhood and creation without placing one above the other. »
