BECOMING THE WAY

This project proposes to produce a series of long-duration performances and to explore the themes of stillness in the physical and visual arts. The aim of this production is to establish, within the framework of a three-week exhibition/performance series, a cycle of performances in which an artistic action lasting between five and seven hours will be presented each day, resulting in partial traces that will accumulate in the space as the week progresses. These performances consist of minimal, repetitive actions or actions with very slow variations. The development of this cycle seeks to juxtapose the performative model with the exhibition model by bringing into relation each of their characteristics—temporal, contextual, spatial, and visual—as well as the audience’s experience of the space.
