THE SLEEP OF REASON PRODUCES MONSTERS

Un pavé dans le jazz and the GMEA-CNCM Albi Tarn have joined forces to invite this sonic phenomenon to open the Riverrun Festival in Toulouse.
Born out of DJ Mariam Rezaei’s residency at London’s Café OTO in November 2023, The Sleep Of Reason Produces Monsters is an explosive new quartet. Their punk-inspired approach to free improvisation draws on elements of jazz, noise, hip-hop, techno, and contemporary music to create a gripping sonic maelstrom that defies any attempt at categorization or convention. For this adventure, she has invited three other unique musicians from the European scene. A band with a commanding stage presence and a raw, furious energy.
