LABO MASTERCLASS
Christian Ubl / CUBe Association & INSA Toulouse
INSA Amphithéâtre Sophie Germain - Toulouse
Propos
For the past seven years, the Samuel Mathieu Company, La Plateforme, and the NeufNeuf Festival have maintained a partnership with INSA Toulouse. This project is part of a collaboration with INSA’s dance-study program, directed by Laurent Grégoire, driven by a shared commitment to knowledge transfer. The idea is to offer these students, through this choreographic project, an immersive experience at the heart of a choreographer’s creative process. Beyond a mere class or workshop, what is at stake here is the practical challenge faced by the performer/dancer. This year, we have chosen to work with Christian Ubl, a choreographer with the Cube Association, based in the PACA region. Over the course of three days, he will lead a masterclass for students at INSA Toulouse to develop the initial outline of a choreographic project. They will also serve as ambassador-performers during Christian Ubl’s choreographic BAL, which will take place in Toulouse at the Centre Culturel - Théâtre des Mazades to close the NeufNeuf Festival on November 26, 2022.
