LIMBO

« “Limbo” is the space between night and day. Générique Mardi invites you to immerse yourself in this liminal state of limbo to take a closer look at the festival through a performance installation that blends music and video.

For this performance project titled Limbo, Générique Mardi takes ‘the party’ as its subject—the party as a political space, situated in the tension between traditions and emancipation. The video projections are still lifes filmed in the early morning, after the party has ended. These staged scenes hover between fiction and documentary, blending with archival footage of traditional Catalan and Occitan dances. The music and lyrics evoke past celebrations with nostalgia and longing, placing the audience in a temporal space between night and morning—a resistance against the dawning day and, with it, a return to the norms of everyday life. »
