Propos

She dances to embrace her gentleness, yet without looking back.
Dressed in a brown leotard and sneakers, Suzanne Henry showcases her 1.80-meter frame as she explores her life experiences and her identity as a woman, as well as her journey and
her anatomy as a dancer.
How do we come to terms with our inner fire without letting it consume us?
For her first solo, she draws on a concentration of intimate and repressed emotions, within which anger emerges as a driving force and a source of vitality. Rage pushes the body to its ultimate physical and emotional limits. Creaking joints,
exhaustion, and shortness of breath lurk just ahead. To be in a state of urgency, and then to accept letting go of one’s anger and vulnerability.
